The story of Pisces is associated with the Greek myths about Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, and her son Eros, the god of love. Pisces is the twelfth constellation of the Zodiac.
Aphrodite and Eros were walking along a river one day when the terrible monster, Typhoon, suddenly rose out of the water, intent on their destruction. Typhoon was as strong as the Olympians, as tall as the heavens and his eyes shot flames. None of the Olympians had the power to destroy Typhoon alone. It is said, to escape, Aphrodite and Eros transformed themselves into fish and swam to safety. While another version of the tale says the two dove into the river and were rescued by two friendly fish, who carried them to safety.
The two fish were placed in the night sky, their tails intertwined, to commemorate the day that Love and Beauty were saved.
