ORDER QUESTIONS

ORDER STATUS
Order status updates are sent to the email address you provide at check-out. Updates will include order confirmation, shipment confirmation and tracking details, as well as notification of any delays or requests for additional information.

If you have not received your order confirmation email or tracking email, please check your spam/junk mail folder.

ITEM AVAILBLITY
Each item offered is crafted by hand using old world techniques, and we appreciate your understanding that these processes may take a little extra time. Most items ship within 1-3 business days from our Los Angeles studio unless otherwise noted in the product description. 

While we do our best to keep items listed online in-stock, there are moments when something might need to be created to fulfill an order, which could take up to 5-7 business days BEFORE shipping. IF that happens, you will be contacted via email with the production status of your order.  If you need your order by a certain date, please include a note when you place your online order to inquire about immediate availability, we are more than happy to accommodate your timeline when humanly possible.

For additional status update questions please contact the studio.  

If you wold like to add a handwritten note to your package or have your order gift wrapped (free of charge), please use the ORDER NOTES section during check out. We are currently wrapping packages with a gold ‘n white crinkle foil paper and black grosgrain ribbon.

Please note: Earrings ship in our signature black velvet pouches with gold foil logo. 2 single earrings or 1 pair per pouch. If each single earring is a separate gift in the same package, please use the ORDER NOTES section during check out to let us know.

With literally thousands of tiny little treasures, it would be nearly impossible to list every item, in every possible color combination on our website. Those of you who have worn Lee Brevard for a while understand how extensive the collection truly is. While you are browsing online, keep in mind most designs are shown with a neutral stone to make imaging colored stones easier. If there is a design, color combination or stone you are interested in and it is not currently listed, please contact us here in the studio. We are always willing to try to accommodate special requests whenever possible.

Behind every piece in the Brevard collection is a story + a person. At heart, we are story collectors + would be honored to become part of your's.

Becoming engaged, getting married, celebrating an anniversary, commemorating a life event or just simply looking for something completely original, we offer our custom design services.

For presentation, most of our designs are shown with a neutral stone on the website, but Brevard is known for its playful mix of stones. Metal options include sterling silver, oxidized sterling, platinum + 18k yellow, rose + white gold. The core of the Brevard collection is composed of sterling silver + 18k yellow gold, but we love mixing metals! If you don’t see the combination you are looking for on the website, please reach out to us to discuss creating it special for you.

As a first step, we recommend becoming more acquainted with our aesthetic online. Once you have a sense of what you’re looking for, make an appointment to discuss your project. Send us an email with as much information as possible (with links or photos) and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Your engagement + wedding rings are more than a bit of sparkle + a big diamond. As a commitment symbols of your love, your rings should uniquely express who you are as a couple. Or perhaps honoring a significant life event or a recent rite of passage with a special necklace or a pendent. Your card will be charged at the time you place your order. You will be asked to provide your Credit Card Number, Expiration Date, Security Code and Billing Address. 

We do not currently accept credit cards with an international billing address.

For your protection, some orders may require additional verification, including name & address verification. One of our associates may contact you by email or by phone to verify your order details. If we are unable to contact you for verification, shipping delays or order cancelation may occur. 

Here are a few things to check if your payment didn’t go through. First, check that your card’s billing details (such as the security code and billing address) match what you’ve entered into our system. After that, call your credit card company. Sometimes they decline online purchases until they speak with you to confirm the transaction for your protection.

If you received a product different from the one that you ordered, our apologies. Please contact the studio right away so we can get things straightened out for you.

As artists, we are genuinely honored that something we craft resonates with you and thank you for choosing us to be part of your story.

To maintain the integrity and value of your Lee Brevard pieces, we believe running sales ultimately devalues your investment. We do not match promotions from other retailers. This has been a standing studio policy since we opened our doors in 1979.

All prices are subject to change without notice, and will be reflected on the website. We guarantee the price at the time your order was placed is the price you will pay. 

The Lee Brevard studio is based in California, all orders shipped to addresses inside California are subject to California State Sales Tax.

SHIPPING QUESTIONS

Please ensure the email address, shipping address and the billing address associated with the credit card account is correct at the time of purchase.

Brevard is not responsible for deliveries to incorrectly entered addresses once an order has shipped. Any, and all shipping charges on bounced or undeliverable packages are the customer’s responsibility. We kindly ask you to review your order confirmation email right away, and contact the studio for any necessary changes.

Including a phone number with your order helps the carrier ensure a smooth delivery of your package.

Brevard is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please make sure the address information you enter is correct. 

All order and shipping status updates will be sent to the email address you provide, please use one you actually check.

Most orders are processed within 1-3 business days upon receipt and shipped Monday through Friday. Shipping time estimates do NOT include processing and handling time. If you place your order on the weekend, your order will not be shipped until the following week. If you place your order in the late afternoon or evening, your order will be processed the following business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding national holiday.

Shipping times are approximate and not guaranteed, and may suddenly change due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond our control. Brevard cannot assume responsibility for carrier shipping delays.

For returns and exchanges, the customer is responsible for shipping costs associatd with the exchange. You may read more about our Exchange + Returns Policy below.

Domestic packages are shipped FedEx with in the Continental United States with two flat rate options. 

Standard FedEx Ground Shipping: $10 • Please allow 2-7 Business Days for transit depending on your location.

FedEx Ground Delivery Orders $500 + over REQUIRE signature confirmation for delivery. If a smaller order requires signature delivery confirmation, please leave a note during the checkout process and we will gladly add it for you.

FedEx Express Delivery: $30 • Please allow 2-3 Business Days for transit. Express Delivery automatically includes Delivery Signature Confirmation.

Please ensure the shipping address and the billing addresses are correct at the time of purchase. Lee Brevard can not be held responsible for deliveries to incorrectly entered addresses once an order has shipped. Including a phone number helps ensure a smooth delivery.

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with your package tracking number. Please use an active email address when you place your order, and check your spam or promotions folder. If you have not received a confirmation email, please contact the studio.

For insurance reason, all domestic ground packages over $500 REQUIRE signature upon delivery. ALL international orders require signature confirmation. Express delivery automatically includes signature confirmation.

On the day your package is scheduled to arrive, please make sure someone is available to sign for it. Once a package is in route we are unable to release the signature confirmation and appreciate your understanding that this is a security feature. If you do happen to miss delivery - don't worry, the carrier will make several attempts and during that time, you may contact the carrier with your package's tracking number to make arrangements.

Once your order has been placed, you will receive an email confirming your order. When your order ships, you will receive an email notification with your package tracking number so you can track its status online. Please use an email address you check regularly to see notifications regarding your order.

Packages shipping to Alaska or Hawaii are shipped FedEx Express. Please allow 2-3 Business Days for transit.

All Domestic P.O. Box addresses are shipped USPS Priority Mail. USPS and FedEx services are unavailable.

Please keep in mind when shipping to an APO/FPO/DPO (Air/Army Post Office, Fleet Post Office or Diplomatic Post Office), that extra time may be needed, and is beyond our control. These packages must be shipped USPS Priority Mail for a flat rate of $10. Express delivery and signature confirmation options are not available.

Due to the global pandemic, ESTIMATED TRANSIT TIMES ARE NOT AN ACCURATE REFLECTION OF CURRENT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. 

Increased transit delays and/or restrictions on international packages should be expected and are far beyond our control, we appreciate your understanding during these uncertain times. We will continue to monitor international shipping around the globe, and handle each international order on an individual basis until further notice. GENERAL INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION
International orders are shipped insured via DHL with tracking and signature confirmation. All packages ship from our studio located in Los Angeles, California. Shipping costs are determined during check out based on the order value and shipping destination.

DHL Worldwide Express transit times are generally 2-5 business days. Some locations may take a little longer than the average estimated times. Keep in mind, it will be transit time, plus however long the package takes to go through customs. It is possible for some orders to experience delay in customs, which is beyond our control, please contact your local customs agency if necessary

The package recipient is responsible for any, and all customs, duty or brokerage fees associated with your order.  Refused international shipments will be abandoned and will not be refunded. Undeliverable packages shipped back to the studio, will be held until you contact the studio to make new shipping payment and arrangements. A refund will not be issued.

Make certain all your contact information is correct, and please always use an active email address, in case we need to reach you regarding your order. We promise not to send you a lot of unwanted junk mail, but there are often questions preparing international packages.

EXCHANGES & RETURNS

EXCHANGES
We understand the challenges of ordering jewelry online and know how personal the decision is. Each item we offer is hand crafted and it is absolutely important to us that you are completely delighted with your purchase. Please let us know if you need assistance finding something new, we’re happy to help.

If for any reason, you wish to exchange an item, notify us within 7 business days from the date your package was received. To begin the process, contact the studio with your original order number, name, email address and phone number.

        • An Exchange Authorization Form will be sent to your email with instructions for preparing your package. No exchanges will be granted without prior return authorization.

        • Items must be unworn, unaltered items and returned in their original packaging (Lee Brevard box and/or pouch) to be eligible. Merchandise credit is calculated on the merchandise value ONLY and does not include shipping fees.

        • Your merchandise exchange credit will be applied toward your exchange purchase or issued in the form of an electronic gift card, which ever you choose.

        • If new items are selected at the time of the exchange, you will then be emailed a secure online invoice for any additional payments as needed to complete your transaction. If no items were indicated with your exchange, or you have remaining credit, a digital gift card will be issued to you via email.

        • Digital gift cards do not expire and there are no processing fees. Digital gift cards are non-refundable and valid for merchandise only at BrevardDesign.com.

        • Shipping costs are covered by the customer. Brevard is not responsible for items damaged or lost while in transit, please follow the packing instruction on your Exchange Authorization Form while preparing your return package.

        • Once your return package has arrived, please allow 2 business days for your package to be processed. At that time, you will receive email notification.

RETURNS
Online purchases are eligible for exchange or store credit.

        • Store credit will be issued in the form a digital gift card. Digital gift cards do not expire and there are no processing fees. Digital gift cards are non-refundable and valid for merchandise only at BrevardDesign.com. 

        • If an error was made on our part, or something is defective, we stand by our craft and will replace or refund in full to your original form of payment. Original shipping charges are not refunded unless we have made an error. Please contact the studio right away so we can make things right.

ITEMS PURCHASED ELSEWHERE
Please understand, Brevard jewelry purchased through any of our retail partners must be exchanged or returned through the original place of purchase. We are unable to process them for you.

Our exchange policy is available for domestic orders only. We are unfortunately unable to accept returns or exchanges for items shipped outside the United States.

Giving your loved one the gift of choice is the perfect something special (as well as the simplest). 

Available in a variety of denominations. For amounts over $500, please call us at 310.577.1888 for assistance. 

Digital gift cards are delivered via email to you - the buyer - to send to your loved one with your own special note. We have found this delivery method guarantees the electronic gift card is received and opened by the recipient.

Please note during the check out process, the standard ordering form will ask for your shipping address, rest assured, once the payment has been approved, your digital gift card will be sent to the email address used to place the order.

JEWELRY CARE QUESTIONS

By its very nature, jewelry is delicate + should be handled as such. To ensure the longevity of your jewelry, here are a few basic tips to help keep you + your jewelry happy together. 

In general, jewelry does not really like to be wet. Some pieces depending on the metals, stones or other components are more sensitive to moisture than others. If it’s precious to you, make habit of removing your jewelry when swimming, showering or in the sauna. Consider removing when exercising as perspiration is slightly acidic + over time can build up on the surface of your jewelry.

Always remember to remove your jewelry when you visit the hair dresser. Especially important if you color your hair, as those coloring agents are caustic to your jewelry.

If something looks delicate. . . it is. Please handle accordingly.

Always remember to put your jewelry on last when getting dressed. AFTER cosmetics, perfume, hairspray, lotions or other chemical substances that could be corrosive to the metal or stones.

Gently wipe your jewelry with a cotton cloth before storage. Store each piece separately in covered jewelry boxes or pouches to avoid tarnishing or scratching.  

Of course, jewelry is meant to be loved + worn, just handled with care. With proper love, your Brevard jewelry will last generations.

 

STERLING SILVER 
Over time, sterling silver achieves a beautiful patina as it mingles with the natural oils of your skin. We intentionally crafted textures that play with natural oxidation process in our designs. The recesses will darken + high points become brighter accentuating the texture + pattern of each piece. This is the beauty of sterling silver + why it is Brevard’s metal of choice. The patina is quite sexy.

Our recommendation is not to over polish + rather allow your pieces to weather + wear naturally. The more you wear your pieces, the more the oxidation mingles with the oils of your skin + creates a beautiful patina. Left unworn, silver may appear flat. The oils from your skin are a key element to achieving that lived-in glamor that we love.

You may use water with a little mild PH neutral soap + a cotton cloth or soft bristled brush for deeper cleaning. Dry thoroughly. For touch ups, a light sweep with a polishing cloth on the high polish surfaces, allowing the dark to remain in the crevices. Avoid using polishing agents which could strip the finish.

If you wish the original finish restored to your Brevard pieces, we recommend sending them to the studio as many of our finishing techniques are proprietary. Each request is handled individually, contact the studio for a project estimate.

ANTIQUED STERLING SILVER
Like your favorite pair of jeans, Antiqued Silver already has that laid back, lived in style, we are all looking for. It is effortlessly chic.

Best low maintenance advice, is simply to wear your jewelry. The oils from your skin will naturally mingle with the oxidation which creates a beautiful patina the more you wear it.

You may use water with a little mild PH neutral soap + a cotton cloth. Dry thoroughly + gently rub the surface with your fingers. For touch ups, a light sweep with a polishing cloth on the high polish points, allowing the dark to remain in the crevices. Avoid using polishing agents which will strip the finish.
 
OXIDIZED STERLING SILVER
Oxidation is a darkening process which creates an aged affect. Levels of darkness can range from light gray to deep black. It is not a permanent treatment + is expected to wear over time. While we love the shifting quality of oxidation, we can of course re-oxidize any design. Contact the studio to restore.

We advise allowing your oxidized sterling to weather + wear naturally. Avoid polishing cloths, solutions or compounds.

18k GOLD 
18k gold is 75% pure gold and offered in yellow, rose + white. Rose gold is achieved by increasing the copper + reducing the silver content. Our white gold is palladium based + contains no nickel. Yellow gold is a core metal in the Brevard collection. 

Gold is chemically unaffected by air, moisture and most corrosive agents.

You may use a little mild PH neutral dish soap + warm water with a cotton cloth or soft bristled brush for deeper cleaning. Avoid using abrasive materials as it can scratch the gold unevenly. Be sure to rinse and wipe gently to dry after cleaning.  

BLACK RHODIUM 
Our black rhodium designs are sterling silver plated with nickel, gold + black rhodium. By its nature, it is transformative and will weather + wear overtime with a gorgeous metamorphosis of color. AVOID polishing cloths, solutions or compounds which will strip the plating. Instead allow it to do its thing organically.

PLATINUM
Our platinum is 95% platinum, 5% iridium. Platinum has an ageless beauty, it does not tarnish or require cleaning.

All of our earring designs incorporate a 14k Gold hoop or post back with butterfly clutch. The white gold we use is Nickel free. Also, we do not use Cadmium, or Zinc in our Yellow Gold, Sterling Silver and solder. If you do have allergies and need something different, please contact the studio, we are happy to discuss recommendations.

PRECIOUS + SEMI PRECIOUS GEMSTONES 
Always take care when using polishing solutions on jewelry containing gemstones. Avoid extreme temperature changes and contact with household chemicals. Never expose stones to hot solutions, abrasive cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners. A non-abrasive jewelry cleaner should be okay for most stones, but for home care, we prefer a little water with a little mild PH neutral soap and a cotton cloth.
 
Please note that Pearls + Turquoise require extra special care to help preserve their natural beauty.

PEARLS
Pearls are mesmerizing with their natural luster + require special care to preserve their natural beauty. No two pearls are alike, which is part of their allure. We work with natural Akoya, Keshi, Tahitian, Freshwater and South Sea Pearls in our designs.
 
Pearls should be the last thing you put on + the first thing you take off. After wearing, wipe with a soft cotton or chamois cloth dry or lightly moistened. This will prevent dirt from accumulating and keep perspiration, which is slightly acidic, from eating away at the pearl’s surface.
 
NEVER use a commercial cleaner or ultrasonic. Do not steam clean. Avoid all contact with hairspray, perfumes, lotions, creams, ammoniated liquid, nail polish remover, detergents, powder cleaners, baking soda or chlorinated water. Ammonia will deteriorate pearls. Never use an abrasive. Avoid wearing with rough fabrics as they may scratch.
 
Pearls maybe washed in water with a few drops of a mild PH neutral soap and a soft cotton cloth. Be sure to rinse, pat gently + lay flat to finish drying on a soft towel. Do not hang to dry. Store in a pouch for protection. If you follow these guidelines your pearls will stay gorgeous for decades.
 
TURQUOISE
Like pearls, turquoise requires special care to preserve their natural beauty. You may gently clean with water with a few drops of mild PH neutral soap and a soft cloth. Be sure to rinse and wipe gently to dry after cleaning. Avoid all contact with hairspray, perfumes, lotions, creams, ammoniated liquid, nail polish remover + chlorinated water.
 
CUBIC ZICORNIA
With a superior ability to refract light that plays magically with the rough hewn textures in the Brevard collection, high quality Cubic Zirconia (CZ) has an illumination quality that sparkles like no other stone. Be aware not all CZ stones are created equal and we only choose superior quality stones. CZ should be treated like all natural semi precious + precious stones in terms of care.

We take immense pride in our quality and craftsmanship, some of which is unique to the Brevard studio. For this reason, if your Brevard is ever in need of repair, restringing, alteration, restoration or cleaning we strongly recommend that you send it to the studio to maintain the integrity of the design and your investment.

Repairs may take up to 12 weeks depending on the nature of the work. Standard repair turnaround is usually 6-8 weeks for most repairs and 4 weeks is standard for most cleanings. Depending on the nature of the work, charges may apply, and we will notify you once we have assessed the project and prior to beginning the work.

Please email the studio to discuss your project. Include your name, address, phone number and briefly describe the nature of your request. And include a few snapshots if helpful. We will follow up with you to discuss your project either by email or phone. Allow 24-48 hours for a response, Monday through Friday.

BRACELET QUESTIONS

SIZING
Meant to be worn snug around the wrist. The 7" is suitable for most women's wrist and 7 1/2" works for most men. 

CARE
Hairsprays, lotions, colognes or perfumes can alter their natural finishes and are best avoided. Remembering to remove your beaded bracelets while sleeping, showering, exercising, or in a pool or sauna will preserve your bracelet. Being natural porous materials, gemstone beads can be highly sensitive to water and water temperatures. These same elements can weaken the elastic cord that holds your beaded bracelet together, which may contribute to breakage in the future if not cared for properly. 

ALWAYS ROLL your beaded bracelet on or off your arm, rather than pull, stretch or tug on the beads. Repetitive tugging and pulling can cause the elastic to weaken and break over time and should be avoided.

SPECIAL REQUESTS
Many of the gemstone and antique beads we choose have unique and organic qualities, which makes our many of our beaded bracelets designs one-of-a-kind, or some-of-a-kind. We receive many requests to customize beaded bracelets and would love to help create a piece that suits your style. If you see a certain charm, color and/or bead combination that you would like together please contact the studio.

SIZING
Offered in 7" or 7 1/2" - your choice when ordering. Meant to be worn snug around the wrist. The 7" is suitable for most women's wrist and 7 1/2" works for most men. The sizing can be adjusted by roughly 1/4” increments if needed, please contact the studio to discuss.

CARE
ALWAYS ROLL the bracelet on or off your arm, rather than pull, stretch or tug on the beads.

Repetitive tugging and pulling can cause the elastic to weaken and break over time and should be avoided.

Remember to remove your Nugget Bead Bracelets while sleeping, showering, exercising, or in a pool or sauna, which can weaken the elastic cord that holds your Bracelet together, which may contribute to breakage in the future if not cared for properly.

EARRING QUESTIONS

Light weight, delicate and versatile. An effortless component of your everyday style. Composed of thin tubbing and pin that latches the hoop closed, our 14k Gold Endless Hoops are strong, but like all delicate jewelry the hoops do have their tensile strength limits and should be handled accordingly. The iconic Endless Hoop was first introduced into the collection in 1979. 

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR ENDLESS HOOPS
STEP 1 - With the hoop between your fingers, close your eyes and run your fingers along the hoop. Notice how the pin (narrow) section is thinner than the tubing (wider section)? Now open your eyes.

STEP 2- Next open the hoop. Find the narrow section of the hoop (the pin) and GENTLY spread the hoop between you thumb and forefinger side to side open. The hoop is flexible but will not withstand being stretched or yanked open. Allow the pin to sit next to the tubing (wider section). Close your eyes and run your fingers along the hoop again. Do you notice the difference? Familiarize yourself with the feeling of a properly latched hoop and how an open hoop feels. Understanding these subtle differences will help once the hoop is in your earlobe.

STEP 3 - Find the narrow section of the hoop and GENTLY spread the hoop between your thumb and forefinger side to side to open. Once open, slide the pin over the earlobe into position and thread the narrow pin of the hoop through the front of the hole. Once the pin is through the hole, using both hands, slip the pin into the back of the hoop to lock it. In the beginning, it may take a few tries to get used to, but soon it will become a breeze. Confirm the hoop is closed by running it through your thumb and forefinger.

Periodically slide your fingers over the hoop to confirm the hoop is latched properly – especially important to double check if you sleep or exercise in your earrings. With proper handling and care, our endless hoops will be trouble free. Many of our customers have been wearing the same hoops every day for decades.

ENDLESS HOOP EXCHANGE POLICY 
Many of customers have been wearing the same hoops for decades, so when someone expresses having trouble with one, we ask to review their hoops to try figure out why. And would rather replace an Endless Hoop than lose a favorite charm. Inspect your hoops regularly, if at any point one gives you concern, please send it to the studio for review. 

To take advantage of our Endless Hoop Exchange Policy the old hoop is REQUIRED. Without the old hoop a replacement hoop will cost full retail. You may purchase a new Endless Hoop from our online shop by clicking here.

Simply send the old hoop in an ordinary envelope via US Mail. Please keep the charm safe with you, just send the hoop. Tape the hoop to a piece of paper with your return address, email, phone number and let us know roughly how long you've been wearing the hoop. In the United States, there is no charge for shipping on a hoop exchange.

Generally, hoop exchanges ship once a week - so depending on when your envelope arrives, your new hoop could take few weeks to reach you. When you include your email address, you will be notified when your new hoop is it’s on its way.

Charms are not available for purchase without an earring hoop or a pendent jump ring.

We understand that some customers may prefer a Latch Hoop Earring style and offer a 13 mm version in 14k gold to complement your Endless Hoop Earring Collection

NOTE ABOUT CHARMS 
The diameter of the Latch Hoop Earring can occasionally be a bit wider than the hole on certain charms from our Endless Hoop Charm Earring Collection. If this is the case with a favorite, contact the studio about expanding the hole to accommodate the Latch Hoop

At time of order, we are happy to adjust the charm's hole free of charge. Simply leave a note during check out process to “please adjust to fit a latch hoop”. Once altered, your earring purchase would be considered final sale. After purchase, there is a small fee for the charm adjustment, please contact the studio for more information.

NECKLACE QUESTIONS

Fine chains necklaces can be delicate by nature and should be treated with care. Avoid pulling or tugging on them to prevent damage.

If you find you need to purchase a replacement, please contact the studio. Available in 16", 18" and 20" lengths in sterling sliver or 18k gold.

RING QUESTIONS

How a ring fits varies throughout the day. This is normal. Fingers naturally fluctuate with our activities, diet, mood and weather. You will not have a 100% perfect fit 100% of the time. The aim is the majority of the time your ring feels comfortable - not too tight or falling off. Every person has their own preference for the feel of the ring.

We count you as a partner in getting the correct size for made-to-order jewelry.

DETERMINING YOUR RING SIZE
Complimentary finger sizing is available when you visit the studio or one of our trunk shows.

For online orders, please visit your local fine jewelry store and ask for a sizing. It is a trade practice to offer this service for free.

To ensure your fitting is correct, please consider choosing a time when you:
        • Have not recently exercised
        • That you have no alcohol in your system (including from the night before night)
        • Have not recently eaten an overly salty meal
        • And are not especially hot or cold for any reason

Keep in mind, rings are sized to your current measurements, not for anticipated weight-loss or gain. Our finger sizes change throughout our lives, and is completely normal.
