Our 18k Gold Jumbo Belides Earring was inspired by an ancient Roman tale of chastity and transformation. Vertumnus, the god of trees and the seasons, desired a beautiful nymph named Belides. Ruthlessly pursued her and to escape, Belides turned herself into a beautiful bellis flower. The Latin name bellus means “beautiful”.
